Hi, I'm Eric and this is my website.
I grew up in Silver Spring, MD, north of DC and south of Baltimore. I attended Cloverly Elementary School for grades K-3, then moved to the gifted and talented program at Dr. Charles R. Drew Elementary School for grades 4 and 5. Then, I attended the magnet program at Takoma Park Middle School for grades 6-8. I then went to the math, science, and computer science magnet program at Montgomery Blair High School for grades 9-12. I graduated Blair class of 2010, and now attend the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for my undergraduate studies.
I like to build things. Growing up, I was fascinated with computers and electronics. I taught myself analog and digital circuitry from books, spare parts, and not-so-spare parts. My first programs were stored on 5.25 inch floppy disks, and soon I was merging my interests by controlling custom circuits with computers. Joining my high school's FIRST robotics team got me into mechanical engineering. So far, this broad skill set has resulted in many projects. I'm not going to describe them here, because that's what the rest of the website is dedicated to. You'll find some of everything, from movies to circuits, music to pyrotechnics. Some of the projects date back to elementary school.
My computers - electronics - mechanics knowledge has enabled me to do something not many people can: when I encounter a problem or annoyance in life, I don't live with it, I solve it. Or if there's just something really cool that I want to make. My projects are often dangerous and always difficult. That is why I do them.
